Summer Essentials 2023
Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2023
This year I will watch my 18-year-old daughter, India head off to college. I have spent these last (almost) two decades loving, nurturing and guiding her, making plenty of mistakes along the way, always having done my best. I will send her out into the world trusting I did my job. Did it go by quickly? Yes and no. It has been an honor being her mom and this year as the clock ticks, I have reflected on motherhood, especially knowing I have 3 sons at home, and plenty of work to do. Work honking them, respecting them and giving them space to be who they are. So much of mothering is allowing, surrendering and trusting. And doing our best. Offering a gift to your mom, grandmother or caretaker you love, is an act of acknowledging and recognizing the gifts and work from the heart, this person has done. Here I offer you my 2023 annual Mother’s Day Gift Guide. Hope you enjoy the discounts.
Spring into Summer Closet Essentials
It’s official, we have sprung into Spring, the nights are still cool but the days are warming up. Every season I like to add a few key pieces to my closet and for Spring, I definitely like to pick pieces I can carry into Summer. As well. I tend to shy away from seasonal trends and instead pick pieces I know I can continue wearing for a little while.
2022 Holiday Gift Guide
I have to admit, I love gifting. Taking the time to find something I know will enhance someone near and dear’s life brings me joy. Gifts do not need to be expensive or even bought, an act of service is a gift. Sometimes I love giving hand made gift certificates for a foot massage I will give or home cooked meal for a busy friend. Gift giving is a common tradition for the holidays this time of year but it is truly the thought that counts. For those of you looking for that something special, here is my 2022 holiday gift guide.
My Late Fall Closet Essentials
It’s that time again of year again, the moment to say good bye to the lighter fabrics and brighter hues and bring out the layers, warmer fabrics and moodier colors. For this season, I have turned more to a utilitarian look as I will be in my vegetable garden, cooking a lot but also wanting to feel chic enough to meet a girlfriend for tea or run errands. A couple of these designers are friends and Ojai locals and other brands you may recognize as national and international brands. I have chosen my preferred colors in the below pieces but make them your own by opting for varied color ways. I also try my best to focus on responsible and sustainably focused brands. And pieces which for me are timeless and ever green.
2022 Mother’s Day Gift Guide
This year as Mother’s day approaches, I encourage you to acknowledge yourself and those dear to you. Maybe treat yourself to a massage, a beautiful hike in nature (alone) or with a friend or a self-nurturing massage or maybe a special item off of my carefully curated Mother’s Day gift guide. Or treat your mom or best friend or ask your partner to treat you. Most importantly, hold yourself dear in the same way you hold your children.

2021 Holiday Gift Guide

5 Key Fall Fashion Favorites
I simply adore bundling up in the Fall and Winter months. Now, granted I live in Southern California, so I try to focus on layering pieces which are comfortable, livable and casual, since I live in the country side. And although I do love to stay abreast with the latest fashion trends, I really try to focus on evergreen timeless pieces.
